Quality assurance

Balmoral’s stated aim is to become the first choice supplier in its sector and the company is committed to providing products and services that exceed customer expectations.

A key objective is the implementation and continuous improvement of a Quality Management System that is certified to ISO 45001:2018 | ISO 9001:2015 and in adherence to the American Petroleum Institute's specification for marine drilling riser equipment: API 16F.


In March 2013 the American Petroleum Institute (API) released specifications 17L1 for flexible pipe ancillary equipment and 17L2 recommended practice for flexible pipe ancillary equipment.

Balmoral Offshore Engineering products including flexible riser and umbilical buoyancy and clamping system, bend stiffeners, bend restrictors, Duraguard HD™ ballast modules, clamps and I/J-tube seals are designed and manufactured in accordance with API 17L standards.
