Sir James Milne established Balmoral Group in 1980 with just five employees designing and manufacturing glass reinforced plastic products. Today, employing more than 600 people, the privately-owned company provides design and manufacturing solutions to the global subsea, energy, civil and environmental engineering sectors.

Sir James is a member of Entrepreneurial Scotland, Vice-Chairman of the North-east Committee and Fellow of the Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI) and Chairman of Friends of ANCHOR, a fundraising body which supports cancer care and research at Grampian University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Gary is a highly experienced Sales Director having previously held a similar role in the construction manufacturing sector.

At Balmoral he has global responsibility for sales and proposals relating to the company’s oil and gas and offshore renewable energy-related product solutions.

Previously a partner in KPMG’s Aberdeen office, Bill is a CA and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Edinburgh University. He is heavily involved in the general management of the business and oversees the company’s HSEQ structure.

Degree qualified in computing, David began his career at Balmoral as an Accounts Clerk and has been promoted several times by working across the Group in a variety of positions.

A member of the Institute of Credit Management, David is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Manager.

A qualified mechanical engineer, Fraser has responsibility for the Balmoral Discovery Unit, R&D, design engineering and project management departments along with operational control of Balmoral’s subsea test centre.

Joining Balmoral as a graduate engineer Mr Milne has developed a broad knowledge of the business and regularly interfaces with clients as part of the technical/business development team.

Brian is a highly experienced professional with 35+ years in manufacturing. He has held key positions within Balmoral including Senior Production Manager, Plant Manager, and Manufacturing Director. His versatile career includes working in various manufacturing businesses holding positions such as General Manager, Operations Manager, Plant Manager, and Operations Director. Brian’s expertise in driving operational excellence, optimizing resources, and motivating teams has made him a respected figure in the industry.
