Health and safety

Occupational health, safety and employee wellbeing is core to provide a health and sustainable workforce and Balmoral are committed to the prevention of injury and ill health, mitigating our impact on the environment and continuous improvement of the occupational health and safety management system and performance.

Regular client liaison is provided via our dedicated projects team with function support and advice provided by the HSEQ team as an integral and increasingly important part of any production project. The Balmoral occupational health and safety management system is certified to ISO 45001:2018 by LRQA.

Environment

Balmoral is fully compliant with environmental regulations and recognised industry standards and continually seeks to adopt solutions to protect the natural world. We acknowledge that environmental factors form an integral part of our business responsibilities and enable the company to demonstrate an ethical, effective, and sustainable approach to all operations.

Balmoral demands that all projects are delivered without environmental incident and with minimal environmental impact. This is achieved by the application of best available techniques including a review of the risks created by manufacturing operations and implementation of control measures to eliminate or minimise the risks identified. The environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001:2015 by LRQA.

Quality

Balmoral’s stated aim is to become world-leader in its sector and the company is committed to providing products and services that exceed customer expectations.

Quality assurance practices, supported by our dedicated quality inspection team are key to delivering this aim is the implementation and continuous improvement of the Balmoral quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 by LRQA.

API 17L

In March 2013 the American Petroleum Institute (API) released specifications 17L1 for flexible pipe ancillary equipment and 17L2 recommended practice for flexible pipe ancillary equipment.

Balmoral Offshore Engineering products including flexible riser and umbilical buoyancy and clamping system, bend stiffeners and bend restrictors are fully accredited by Bureau Veritas to API 17L standards.
