Investing in the workforce is essential for a successful business, and it’s something that’s been a particular focus of ours these past couple of years.

We’re delighted to be shortlisted in the ‘Staff Matter’ category. It's a testament to the fantastic initiatives our people have put in place. During 2022, we set up a dedicated working group, made up of individuals from various departments across the business to advise the board with fresh ideas for providing our teams with opportunities for career advancement, wellbeing and social interaction.

The working group engaged with employees from across the company to ensure that improvements came from within the organisation, giving everyone a voice in shaping our future. We firmly believe that innovation doesn't just happen, it's cultivated through a commitment to people and the environment in which they thrive.

Two years on since our working group was formed, we are really pleased to be seeing improvements in staff engagement, morale and the positive impact this has had on our business, like the propulsion of Balmoral’s renewables-related revenues.

We’re dedicated to becoming an employer of choice, and initiatives like setting up this working group are leading to improved staff retention, cost-efficient recruitment, and substantial business growth. We are proud of the positive impact so far and we’re committed to sustaining this momentum in the future.
